Discount Formulas
Discounted price = Original price ร (1 โ discount%/100). Amount saved = Original price ร discount%/100. Discount% = (Amount saved รท Original price) ร 100. Original price = Discounted price รท (1 โ discount%/100).
Double Discount Calculation
When multiple discounts apply (e.g., 20% off + additional 10% off), they don't simply add up. A 20% discount followed by 10% equals 28% total โ not 30%. Our calculator handles successive discounts correctly.
GST After Discount
In India, GST is applied on the post-discount price, not the original price. Our calculator optionally adds GST calculation so you see the exact amount payable after both discount and tax.
